Casting Tutorial

I used this model of the shopkeepers head to learn how to make a cast, but I was told to make the cast from silicone because the model has indents that would trap the head within the cast if I made it from plaster.

To make the cast I created a box around the model and surrounded the back of the head in plasticine, I then poured silicone around the head and left it to dry to create the cast.

I didn't use this cast in the end because I cant use it for casting silicone.
