Research: Toby Allen

I first discovered this illustrator while watching another students presentation.

Toby uses illustrations of monsters to show different kinds of mental illnesses; which is similar to my character development for the demons, as I will be developing a demon for each of the 7 Deadly sins.

Dextors Labrotory

Here is another tutorial on set design:
https://www.stanwinstonschool.com/tutorials/stop-motion-animation-part-2-set-design-construction

I plan to use solid colour backgrounds using different tones of one colour like the image above from Dextor's Laboratory. I will use these backgrounds for walls of buildings, shop entrances and anything else in the distant background. These backgrounds will be accompanied by 3D objects like bins, street lights, post boxes, sign posts, cars and others objects.

Research: Demons

demondaemon (from Koine Greek δαιμόνιον daimonion), orfiend is a supernatural, often malevolent being prevalent in religion, occultismliteraturefictionmythology and folklore. The original Greek word daimon does not carry the negative connotation initially understood by implementation of the Koine δαιμόνιον (daimonion),[1]and later ascribed to any cognate words sharing the root.

What the Bible says about Demons

Demons are fallen angels, as Revelation 12:9 indicates: “The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.” Satan’s fall from heaven is symbolically described in Isaiah 14:12–15 and Ezekiel 28:12–15. When he fell,Satan took some of the angels with him—one third of them, according to Revelation 12:4Jude 6 also mentions angels who sinned. So, biblically, demons are fallen angels who, along with Satan, chose to rebel against God.

Some of the demons are already locked “in darkness, bound with everlasting chains” (Jude 1:6) for their sin. Others are free to roam and are referred to as “the powers of this dark world and . . . the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” in Ephesians 6:12 (cf. Colossians 2:15). The demons still follow Satan as their leader and do battle with the holy angels in an attempt to thwart God’s plan and hinder God’s people (Daniel 10:13).

Demons, as spirit beings, have the ability to take possession of a physical body. Demonic possession occurs when a person’s body is completely controlled by a demon. This cannot happen to a child of God, since the Holy Spirit resides in the heart of the believer in Christ (1 John 4:4).

Jesus, during His earthly ministry, encountered many demons. Of course, none of them were a match for the power of Christ: “Many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word” (Matthew 8:16). Jesus’ authority over the demons was one of the proofs that He was indeed the Son of God (Luke 11:20). The demons who encountered Jesus knew who He was, and they feared Him: “‘What do you want with us, Son of God?’ [the demons] shouted. ‘Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?’” (Matthew 8:29). The demons know their end will be one of torment.

Satan and his demons now look to destroy the work of God and deceive anyone they can (1 Peter 5:82 Corinthians 11:14–15). The demons are described as evil spirits (Matthew 10:1), unclean spirits (Mark 1:27), lying spirits (1 Kings 22:23), and angels of Satan (Revelation 12:9). Satan and his demons deceive the world (2 Corinthians 4:4), promulgate false doctrine (1 Timothy 4:1), attack Christians (2 Corinthians 12:71 Peter 5:8), and combat the holy angels (Revelation 12:4–9).

The demons/fallen angels are enemies of God, but they are defeated enemies. Christ has “disarmed the powers and authorities,” and He has “made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross” (Colossians 2:15). As we submit to God and resist the devil, we have nothing to fear. “The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” (1 John 4:4).

Research: Inner Demons

We all have inner demons, that’s taking part in manifesting things into our life. Understanding and creating awareness is one of the most important aspects here at MorningCoach.com. The key is to understand your strengths and your weaknesses which would be your inner demons, so that we can work on using them for our own good.

Do not feed the inner demon. Work on creating positive new habits they keep the inner demon at bay. Don’t feed them energy by doing the behavior or activity that the inner demon wants you to do. If you are social drinker that drinks too much, then manage that and don’t give the inner demon power by putting yourself in situations that it is going to be a take over.
In order to establish new habits and behaviors, you need to take some courses, you need to get some education, or you just may need to get some professional help. Don’t feed the inner demon by doing the activity that it is suggesting that you do.
Harness the inner demon for your use. You can harness the power of the inner demons. Even though, it tends to be the darker side of you, and is the darker energy that you have inside. You can harness this for creative abilities. Many artists, writers and lyricists use this inner demon or sadness to produce great content.
The key is to understand your inner demons, and then use them to your benefit. I know that it doesn’t seem like there is any positive in the inner demons that you have. There is positivity when you use the inner demons to create and help you move closer to your dreams.

Research: 7 Deadly Sins

The Seven Deadly Sins are those transgressions which are fatal to spiritual progress.

People have always been immoral, shiftless, and self-gratifying. For ages, humankind struggled to find a conceptual system to operationalize their spiritual shortcomings.
Pride is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.
Envy is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation.
Gluttony is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires.
Lust is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body.
Anger is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath.
Greed is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness.
Sloth is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work.
